Today's the International Day of Charity, so I wanted to give a shoutout to the families who booked their trips with me this month—because of you, I'm able to donate a little extra to the Cleveland Congenital Heart Walk! The walk is next Saturday, and we're excited to be participating in our 14th fundraising event!

Stay tuned...an announcement about the next selected charity is coming soon. 😉

Many families wonder: “Is Disney Cruise Line transportation worth it?” On our recent sailing on the Disney Wish, I documented each step—from Disney’s Pop Century Resort to boarding the ship—to help my future travelers decide how to get to their Disney cruise.

Here’s a timeline of our morning, from Disney’s Pop Century Resort to boarding The Wish at Port Canaveral:

🛄8:41 AM – Our luggage, tagged and ready by the resort room door, was picked up by a friendly courier

😁9:45 AM — We headed to the lobby with our carry-on bags. Disney Cruise Line Cast Members checked our passports and boarding form and gifted us a souvenir magnet as well as a special boarding voucher (Disney Cruise’s version of a Lightning Lane—more on that to come!).

🚌10:19 AM – Our shuttle bus departed for the 75-minute trip to Port Canaveral, complete with Disney cartoons playing and fun Disney Cruise tips from our driver. (We spotted a wild pig along the way, but no gators!)

Upon arrival at the port, we checked a Cast Member checked our passports and linked our MagicBands. We were directed straight to the boarding line.

🍽12:10 PM – We were welcomed aboard by the crew, waved “hi” to Minnie, and found the buffet for lunch.

My takeaway:

Disney Cruise Line transportation is a bit pricier ($45 per person) than rideshare or car service. However, a rideshare for a family of four could cost over $125 and offer less reliability and convenience. The shuttle meant no lugging big bags or awkward car rides—and, most importantly, it got us on board much earlier. Taking Disney Cruise Line transportation gives you a boarding voucher for group 3, letting you board earlier than your originally assigned time.

If we hadn’t used the shuttle, we wouldn’t have boarded until group 18 at about 1:30 PM—which would’ve meant paying for lunch elsewhere. Instead, we saved $50–$60 and had extra time to enjoy the ship. We were already at the pool while others were still arriving at the port to check in.

"I feel so much better just after talking to you on the phone."

That's what my newest travel guest said to me during a booking call. Travel, especially to Walt Disney World, is overwhelming, and I get it. The last time she was there, 3 decades ago, Hollywood Studios was still MGM, so imagine trying to wrap your head around Lightning Lanes and Dining Reservations in 2026.

There's no reason to let vacation planning feel daunting. I'm just a call or DM away, ready to take the stress out of travel, from booking to check-out and beyond.

During a late-night treat run at Pop Century's Everything Pop food court, I was struck with a dilemma and want to know which one you would have picked:

A. The Tie Dye Cheesecake
B. Flower Power Tiramisù

I'll tell you what I got (and whether it was a good pick) in the comments
