🍦 ICE CREAM TRAINS — October 24, 2026; February 28 and April 10, 2027. Families can savor a leisurely afternoon and beat the heat aboard these two-hour excursions through South Central Florida’s scenic sugarcane country. With a relaxed atmosphere and the timeless charm of train travel, our Ice Cream Train offers a sweet and memorable outing for passengers of all ages.
🥃 RUM TRAINS — October 24, 2026, and April 10, 2027. Settle in for a spirited evening journey through South Central Florida’s sugarcane country. Created exclusively for passengers 21-and-over, these two-hour excursions combine the leisure of historic train travel, relaxed atmosphere, and regionally made rum and adult beverages to enjoy during a distinctive night out on the rails.
🌴 LAKE PLACID LIMITED — October 10 and November 14, 2026; January 23, February 27, March 27, April 24 and May 15 & 29, 2027. The signature train excursion in Florida, this steam-powered, all-day adventure carries passengers from Clewiston to the charming community of Lake Placid. Departing Clewiston at 10 a.m., the train arrives at Lake Placid’s historic depot, where guests can dine, shop, stroll through the colorful mural-lined downtown and visit the farmers market when in season. This Lake Placid Limited is the only main line steam-powered passenger train in the state and one of the fastest regularly operating at speeds up to 40 MPH in the United States.
🎅🏼 SANTA EXPRESS — Clewiston departures: November 28, 29 and December 11,12,13, 22 & 23 and Sebring departures December 6,18,19 & 20 - 2026. �Climb aboard a festively decorated historic train and experience the wonder of the holiday season on rails. Each two-hour journey includes a visit with Santa, cookies and a commemorative gift, while First Class passengers enjoy private tables for families, additional holiday refreshments, and sweets!
Most operating days feature departures at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Departures on November 29 and December 11, 22 and 23 will be offered at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Steam locomotive No. 148 will power the December 6 and 12 excursions.
🎁 TOYS FOR TOTS SANTA TRAIN — December 5, 2026. Sugar Express and U.S. Sugar will continue a cherished holiday tradition as a steam-powered train travels through Belle Glade, Clewiston, Moore Haven and Sebring to deliver donated toys in support of local Toys for Tots programs. The annual journey brings the spirit of the season—and a little railroad magic—to communities across the region.
🎆 NEW YEAR’S MOORE HAVEN METEOR RUM TRAIN — January 2, 2027. Ring in the new year with steam! This spirited journey for guests 21-and-over features a two-hour excursion between Clewiston to Moore Haven and back, featuring some of the area’s finest rum available for tasting and purchase along the way.
🕊️ ARCHBOLD ARROW — January 16, 2027. The Archbold Arrow offers an intimate diesel-powered journey from Clewiston to Archbold Biological Station and return. With capacity limited to approximately 100 guests, this distinctive excursion promises a more exclusive way to experience the region by rail. Experience and ticketing details will be announced separately.
🍻 SUNSET & SUDS — January 22 and April 23, 2027. Unwind as the day draws to a close aboard these two-hour, 21-and-over excursions through South Central Florida’s sugarcane country. Evening scenery and beverages available for purchase aboard the train create a relaxed setting for enjoying sunset’s magic hour. The January excursion departs at 4 p.m., while the April excursion departs at 5 p.m.
💘 VALENTINE’S BRUNCH TRAIN — February 13, 2027, at 11 a.m. Celebrate Valentine’s weekend with a leisurely journey aboard a historic train. This 2½-hour diesel-powered excursion travels from Clewiston toward Fisheating Creek and returns, offering passengers a distinctive and memorable way to share the occasion.
🍾 SUGAR FESTIVAL SPRITZER — March 12, 2027. Kick off Clewiston’s annual festival with an evening journey powered by historic steam. The Sugar Festival Spritzer departs Clewiston at 4:30 p.m. and returns at approximately 6 p.m., offering passengers a memorable start to the community’s signature celebration.
🍬 SUGARFEST EXPERIENCE — March 13, 2027. Experience the excitement of Clewiston’s annual festival aboard a steam-powered train. These 1½-hour excursions depart at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., providing festivalgoers with a distinctive way to enjoy the day. An additional 5 p.m. departure will be added if needed.
🥞 SUNDAY BRUNCH TRAINS — October 25, 2026 and May 16, 2027 at 1 p.m. Settle in for a leisurely Sunday afternoon aboard a historic train traveling through South Central Florida’s sugarcane country. These 2½-hour diesel-powered excursions journey from Clewiston toward Fisheating Creek and return, offering passengers a relaxed and memorable brunch experience on the rails.
