There’s a growing need for Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) technicians, and it’s creating real opportunity.

It’s a high-demand skill that puts you in a position to earn a strong income, and have real options for where your career can go.

Dawson is a great example of that.

Just two years after graduating high school, he went through the A&P program at Pulaski Tech, earned his license, and is now back home putting those skills to work.

“I just think it’s a really good program for people that are wanting to come back to a place like this,” he said.

What stood out to him was how the program prepares you beyond the basics.

“They’re going to teach you a lot about how to be a mechanic… they’re not trying to just get you to pass the test. They’re trying to make you a better mechanic in the long run.”

Now, he’s building a career in a field that’s in demand, one that gives him the option to work here at home or take those skills anywhere.

“I’m excited about this job. It’s close to home. I love the people, and I think it’s just a great working environment.”

We’re glad to have Dawson on the team and excited to see where this path continues to take him.

Dawson Aircraft was recently featured on FOX16 and KARK4, highlighting how, through our partnership with North Arkansas College and Clinton High School, students can gain real-world exposure to aviation maintenance by combining classroom instruction with hands-on work on aircraft.

Students can graduate with a Certificate of Proficiency in Aircraft Maintenance and continue on to pursue their Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification, opening the door to strong, in-demand careers in aviation, here in Clinton and across the country.

This program is about giving students a path early, a path built on real skills, real experience, and real job opportunities.

We want to thank Sarah Westfall, instructor of the class, for her hard work and dedication to investing in students, and North Arkansas College for being an outstanding educational partner in preparing the next generation of aviation professionals.

Programs like this keep talent in Arkansas and build a strong workforce for the future of aviation.
