The Dawson Aircraft Golf Team finally got the job done at Indian Hills! We won the annual Fairfield Bay HART Center Golf Tournament, and we couldn’t be prouder of our players. Everyone contributed, played hard, and represented Dawson Aircraft with class. Congratulations to the entire team on a great accomplishment!

Trevor recently had the opportunity to meet with Congressman French Hill to discuss the growing need for skilled aviation maintenance professionals and the opportunities being created through the aviation maintenance training program at Clinton Municipal Airport.

Aviation maintenance is one of the most in-demand skilled trades today. Through a partnership between Clinton High School, North Arkansas College, Clinton Municipal Airport, and Dawson Aircraft, students can begin building the skills needed for a career in aviation while earning college credit and gaining hands-on experience. The program helps create a pathway into an industry that offers strong demand, competitive pay, and long-term career opportunities.

There’s a growing need for Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) technicians, and it’s creating real opportunity.

It’s a high-demand skill that puts you in a position to earn a strong income, and have real options for where your career can go.

Dawson is a great example of that.

Just two years after graduating high school, he went through the A&P program at Pulaski Tech, earned his license, and is now back home putting those skills to work.

“I just think it’s a really good program for people that are wanting to come back to a place like this,” he said.

What stood out to him was how the program prepares you beyond the basics.

“They’re going to teach you a lot about how to be a mechanic… they’re not trying to just get you to pass the test. They’re trying to make you a better mechanic in the long run.”

Now, he’s building a career in a field that’s in demand, one that gives him the option to work here at home or take those skills anywhere.

“I’m excited about this job. It’s close to home. I love the people, and I think it’s just a great working environment.”

We’re glad to have Dawson on the team and excited to see where this path continues to take him.
