Yellowstone Regional Airport Mission: enhance air service, provide a better quality of life for the flying community of NW Wyoming It is the only commercial airport in Park County.

Yellowstone Regional Airport is a public-use airport located two nautical miles (3.7 km) southeast of the central business district of Cody, a city in Park County, Wyoming, United States. It is in northwestern Wyoming, about 53 miles from the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park. The airport is owned by the city of Cody and is operated by the Yellowstone Regional Airport Joint Powers Board.

This board was established in 1981 and is made up of 7 members. The daily operations of the airport are overseen by an Airport Manager, who is appointed by the board. The Mission of the Yellowstone Regional Airport is to enhance air service and provide a better quality of life for the flying community of Northwest Wyoming.

John & Ray Elgin Inducted Into the Wyoming Aviation Hall of Fame

YRA staff were honored today to attend the induction of John & Ray Elgin into the Wyoming Aviation Hall of Fame at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Mike Elgin, son of John Elgin, was presented with plaques commemorating the induction of both John and Ray. Congratulations to everyone who worked diligently on the nomination and submission to the Wyoming Aviation Hall of Fame.

The Chicago to Cody flight returns!!

Cody just got a lot closer to the rest of the world. United's new direct Chicago flight arrived with a water cannon salute and is already filling seats. The flight uses an upgraded E175 with first class, room for your carry-ons, and Starlink service. Chicago's 1,200-connection hub might make travel easier than routing through Denver for you.
