At a rock outcropping five kilometers north of Serabit el-Khadim, one of South Sinai's most senior archaeologists pointed out a chariot with no driver, its horses still in the harness, and four men around it with their arms raised as though sinking in water. He offered the reading carefully, as one professional possibility among others, but it is hard to stand in front of that scene and not think of Exodus 14.

As far as we know, this is the first time these carvings have been described in English for biblical travelers. The full story is on the blog.

Dr. Mustafa Nour el-Din shows us an intriguing set of Petroglyphs in the Sinai peninsula of Egypt depicitng chariots, including a strange one without a driver.

Paul gets run out of Antioch. Then Iconium. Then Lystra. Every single time, the opposition doesn't stop the mission. It moves it forward.

Open door. Harvest. Opposition. Mission advances.

This is the pattern on every page of Acts. And the places where it happened are still standing in Turkey.

"Almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord. But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, reviling him." — Acts 13:44–45

Walk these exact cities in 2026.

What did Jesus really mean when He called Laodicea “lukewarm?"

Most people think it was about passion or emotion. But when you stand in the ruins of Laodicea, the message becomes far more powerful.

This wealthy city in ancient Turkey was famous for its banking industry, black wool, and medical eye salve — yet Jesus told them they were poor, blind, and naked.

“So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.” — Revelation 3:16

Archaeologists continue uncovering massive columns, churches, theaters, and ancient streets that bring the Book of Revelation to life like never before.

There's a reason the Exodus is perhaps the most consequential story in Western history. And there's a reason almost no one has actually visited most of the sites along the path.
The route crosses three countries. The real Mount Sinai sits in Saudi Arabia, in territory that was closed to Western travelers until very recently. We've put the whole journey together — Egypt, the Red Sea, Arabia, Petra.
In March 2027, Joel Richardson is coming with us to lead it.
March 23 – April 5, 2027. Registration is open: https://livingpassages.com/tour/egypt-saudi-arabia-mount-sinai-petra-richardson-tour/

"It's kind of like a cross between a living Bible study, Indiana Jones, and a devotional."
That's how Ken Fish, founder of Orbis Ministries, described his recent trip to the real Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia with Living Passages. Ken came specifically to see the mountain the Apostle Paul names in Galatians 4:25 — Mount Sinai in Arabia. What he found was so much more: petroglyphs, the rock where the golden calf was placed, the region of Midian where Moses lived for forty years, the site where Amalek attacked the Israelites, and the split rock where water came forth in the wilderness.
His encouragement? Go now, while the sites are still pristine and before everything is commercialized. Saudi Arabia is opening to faith-based travel for the first time in modern history. We'd love to take you there.

Have you ever walked a place from Scripture?
Paul walked these stones.
So did Timothy, Silas, and Luke.
This is the Via Egnatia: a 2nd-century Roman road still visible today, the same paving stones the Apostle Paul traveled when he carried the gospel from Philippi to Thessalonica and out to the ends of the earth (Acts 16–17).

Jonathan Morrow is on the ground here with Impact 360 Institute, leading a group of college students through the very places where the New Testament unfolded. And the lesson is worth pausing for:
The gospel didn't spread in a vacuum. Rome built the roads. Greek became the common language. The infrastructure of an empire was already in place. And then, as Paul writes in Galatians 4:4, "in the fullness of time," God sent His Son.

At Living Passages, we design biblically-rooted journeys through the lands where these stories actually happened. The kind of travel that changes how you read your Bible for the rest of your life.

SCHOLARS HAVE PUZZLED OVER THIS DETOUR FOR 2,000 YEARS.

Why would Paul leave the easy coastal route and climb inland into the rugged mountains of Pisidian Antioch?

The answer may lie with Sergius Paulus, the Roman official converted in Acts 13.

Archaeology suggests his family owned estates near the exact region Paul traveled next.

Suddenly, Paul’s route doesn’t look random at all.

It looks intentional.

📍The Bible reads differently when you walk the ground.
