We’ve been seeing more aircraft traffic in and around Brookes Seaplane Base lately, and that’s great to see! With increased activity, we want to make sure all pilots operating in the area are familiar with our local route and procedures.

We’re sharing our Brookes Seaplane Base route and operating procedures to help everyone maintain good situational awareness and safe operations around the base.

Please take a few minutes to review the procedures before operating in the area.

Safety depends on all of us. If you’re a local pilot, a visiting pilot, or simply passing through the area, we appreciate your help in following the procedures and keeping a good lookout for other aircraft and water traffic.

The first week of July was a busy week at the dock! 3 new MES pilots were made in the Beech 18 and 2 new SES pilots were made as well! We were so impressed by the skill of all of our students. Shane, officially passed his ATP MES checkride! This is a huge deal. That now gives him all four ATPs, which is something very, very few pilots ever accomplish.

To put it in perspective, based on everything we could find, that makes him the 169th person to hold all four. That’s such a small group that it doesn’t even feel real. LETS GOOO SHANE
