What is the Star of Life symbol found in our logo, and on our ambulances? Although the Star of Life is instantly recognizable to most people as a medical symbol, it is often misidentified as a "blue cross". At its core, the symbol represents time. The center icon features a Rod of Asclepius – an ancient symbol of medicine. The six branches of the star represent the six main tasks executed by EMS workers: Detection, Reporting, Response, On Scene Care, Care In Transit, Transfer to Definitive Care.

Metro One Ambulance, LLC. is a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation company, so we focus primarily on "Care In Transit," making sure that people get where they need to go safely, and on time.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the word "Ambulance" has to be printed backwards on the front of Ambulances? This is so drivers will quickly recognize the ambulance in their rearview mirrors and respond appropriately by pulling over to allow it to pass, especially during emergency situations!

As long as the trip originates in Colorado, we are able to provide long-distance medical transportation to our clients who are visiting other states for their medical appointments or services.
