I can’t really believe I’m writing this …. But I’m retiring. After 30 years of helping our travel family plan wonderful vacations, it’s time for this ole gal to do some traveling herself. I want to thank all who hung with us through the many changes that took place in our industry and adjusted with us as they happened. We survived the aftermaths of 911, recessions and most recently Covid and I’m really proud of that. When we bought Prestige in 1993 there were ten travel agencies within a five mile radius of our Devine St location. As we close our doors (still on Devine St) there is only one other left.
I want to send a shout out to my husband, Shep for being a great supporter and business partner. I couldn’t have done it without you. Also to Cathy Phenix who was my right arm and very loyal sidekick for so many years. And to our wonderful clients, Thank You from the bottom of my heart. Hope to see you around.

"Every detail of this trip from San Francisco to Sonoma to the final portion of our journey in Carmel, was thoughtfully laid out by Betsi as she helped us plan our trip. It was the perfect ending to spend our final two days winding down at our gorgeous hotel, The Tickle Pink Inn overlooking the Pacific Ocean. To start the day, we took a scenic tour down Hwy 1 on our drive from Sonoma. We then dined at a delicious meal at Pebble Beach Golf Course and viewed The Lone Cypress, one of the most photographed trees in North America! Our hotel served a fabulous happy hour each afternoon complete with a wide variety of cheeses, nuts, olives, crackers and wine. Our group loved watching the sunset over the Pacific Ocean each evening at this happy hour. We also enjoyed a day trip to the shops at Carmel. Winding down in Carmel was the perfect ending to our 40th trip. We enjoyed this trip so much, and our group will be in touch for our next great adventure!"

Traveling with a group of friends to a new destination is such an exciting way to see new parts of the country and the world, all while enjoying the fabulous company of your friends and family. Here is another glimpse of a recent trip that we, at Prestige Travel, helped plan for this fun group as they celebrated their 40th birthday's.

"On the second day of our trip we rented a car and headed out to Sonoma. It was a short 45 minute drive from San Francisco. Betsi had booked us at a quaint, boutique hotel, The Inn at Sonoma right off the square. Each afternoon the Inn hosted a wine and cheese reception that was delicious. We were within walking distance to many fabulous restaurants. We dined the first evening at The Girl and the Fig and would highly recommend it! The next day we set out with a personal tour guide of the wine country. It was such a fun way to explore the area, with a knowledgeable, local from the region that was able to help us tour some vineyards that are not typically open to the public. We learned so much about the area and the wine making process! For our last evening in Sonoma, we dined at a tapas restaurant within walking distance to our Inn. The next morning we packed up and prepared to start the final leg of our journey...traveling south on scenic Hwy 1 to Carmel-by-the-Sea. "My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon at Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa in the Dominican Republic for the week. The McGee Family recently went on a cruise of a lifetime along the Baltic Sea with stops in Normandy, France, Paris, France, Tallinn, Estonia and St. Petersburg, Russia highlighted in the featured photographs.

Here is what they had to say: "We wanted to send a note to let you know how much we enjoyed our trip. The cruise was wonderful. We really enjoyed visiting Tallinn. We probably would never have picked that as a destination without it being a port of call. The two days in St. Petersburg were our favorite part of the cruise. First Hotel Kong Frederick in Copenhagen was nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. It is also in a convenient location to get around Copenhagen on foot.
The addition of Paris was wonderful as well. The day trip to Normandy was great, it makes me want to go back and spend more time exploring that area! Hotel Claridge was very nice as well. The staff there was without a doubt the friendliest and most helpful staff in any hotel we have ever stayed at. The Paris Visite Pass was a life saver too, as you definitely need to use the subways to get around Paris!
Thank you for your help in planning this trip. It was wonderful and one we will have cherished memories from for life!
