I’ll go ahead and say that the Tidewater Boat Owners Meet and Greet 2024 was a huge success! I believe we had at least 20 Tidewater Boats show up for today’s event and everyone had a blast. The Tidewater Boat Owners Group of folks really outdid themselves today. Huge shoutout to Zach Prevatt and Matthew LaBelle for being my partners in crime on this, the three of us misfits always seem to make things happen somehow. Big thanks to Jason L. Carlisle for guiding us to the coolest sandbar that I’ve ever been to, locally known as “TaTa Island” with a giant beach and a “lazy river” included 🤣. For those of you that haven’t spent time at TaTa island, it’s worth the trip! Huge thanks as well as “props” to Tidewater Boats for designing and manufacturing these fantastic boats and supporting our group for the 2nd year in a row!! The biggest shoutout will be my last one, THANK YOU ATS Printing for designing the shirts for this year’s event. The bright green color was a HUGE hit at the island. There was no questioning who the Tidewater Boat Owners were because everyone could see us from a mile away. It’s undeniable that those shirts attract some attention. For those that don’t know ATS, they supplied the shirts to last year’s event as well as this year’s event. Update—— Jacob and Matthew have made it down. Sue to the late start they staked out a spot at TaTa Island rather then disappearing Island. Here are the coordinates 29.08168° N, 80.94032° W

Hey everyone I just blew a hydraulic line for my steering. As a result, everybody is a little bit behind today. I just finished getting loaded up so I could take my boat in for service. Jacob and Matthew were helping so they will be at disappearing island slightly behind schedule. I hope everybody has a great time today.

The Tidewater Boat Owners Meet and Greet 2024 will be here before we know it. I know we have been looking forward to it since last years event.

So I’ll give a little update

At this time the weather forecast seems to be changing every time I look at it. As of most recent it appears that thunderstorms won’t roll in until the afternoon so I’m optimistic.

So for the day Jacob, Matthew, and Zach Prevatt will be heading to Halifax Marina to launch and plan on being there at 8am. For anyone that wants to tag along and enjoy a short cruise. Dunlawton Boat Ramp and the Light House ramps are also alternatives if you are traveling in.

Once we arrive at Disappearing Island we will drop a pin to assist in locating our boats as it is a big area. I’ll post the pin to this page as well as the event page so please keep an eye out. We are hesitant to choose any location in advance as it will likely change depending on crowds. Jacob will have a dark blue 230, Matthew a light blue 2500, and Zach a black 2500 each will have a Tideawater banner flag on the Ttop to assist in locating us as well.
