Today we honor the legacy of Ptlm. Lane Burns. On March 17, 2022, Ptlm. Lane Burns was shot and killed after responding to a disturbance call where a suspect opened fire.

Ptlm. Burns served ten years in law enforcement, and five of those years with the Bonne Terre Police Department. He left behind two children and a loving family.
