Here is the checklist that may help. Save yourself time,money and possibly a peace of mind. 🧠

(1) Check credentials.
Make sure moving companies that you are working with are legitimate. Google, yelp, BBB, etc.. Read reviews. 👁️ 👁️

2) Check whether the moving company you choose is using employees or contractors. 🏋️‍♀️

3) Note: Contractors (1099 employees) are able to sue you directly for any injury(s) on your property. 🤕 -

4) If you are choosing a Moving company that has contractors make sure you have
MOVING INSURANCE
through your homeowners/renters insurance. ✅

5) Do not make a deposit without a contract.
We have seen moving companies, taking deposits, and not showing up. 📝

6) Request to have an in person estimate. Ask questions. 🗣️

7) Hire a local company. 🕺

We understand there are a lot of Moving options in our area in 2023. This will help.

(1) Check credentials. 👀

2) Check whether the Moving company you may hire is using employees or contractors.

3) If you are choosing a Moving company that has contractors or sub contracts moves, make sure you have moving insurance through your homeowners/renters insurance. 🏠

4) Do not make a deposit without a contract. 📝

5) Ask when the clock starts, many other moving companies now charge from when they leave their office. Adding time/cost. 🛻 💨

6) For new construction moves, concrete must down at least three months before pulling into the driveway. Ask your builder. 🅿️
