We lost a truly special person yesterday.

Andrew Wagner, known throughout our industry as The Bus Doctor, tragically lost his life while working on a band’s tour bus in the Washington, D.C. area.

Andrew served motorcoach operators throughout the Virginia and Washington, D.C. region and was one of the nicest, most genuine people you could ever meet. He consistently went above and beyond for Cardinal and so many others in our industry.
If someone needed help, Andrew was there. He cared about people, loved what he did, and would do whatever he could to get a coach back on the road and keep the passengers moving.

Our industry lost a great friend and an even better person. Please keep Andrew’s wife, his two little girls, his family, and everyone who loved him in your prayers.

We will miss you, Andrew. Thank you for always being there for us. God Bless. ❤️

It is with tremendous sadness that we share the passing of Andrew Wagner, known to so many throughout the motorcoach community as "The Bus Doctor."

For those who followed this page, worked with Andrew, called him when a bus had everyone else stumped, talked shop with him at an industry event, or simply had the good fortune to know him, you know that The Bus Doctor was much more than a name.

It was Andrew.

He had an extraordinary knowledge of motorcoaches, an unmistakable passion for this industry, and a willingness to share what he knew with people throughout the motorcoach community. Customers became friends. Colleagues became family. And there are buses on the road today because somewhere along the way, The Bus Doctor knew what to do.

The tremendous outpouring of love already being shared throughout our industry speaks volumes about the number of people Andrew touched during his life and career.

Right now, those closest to Andrew are trying to comprehend an unimaginable loss. We are deeply grateful for the love, prayers, memories and support being shared.

Information regarding services and ways to honor Andrew will be shared here when arrangements have been finalized.

For now, we simply remember our Bus Doctor. ❤️

Cardinal Transportation’s Safety & Training Manager, Jessica, recently attended the American Bus Association's BISC & BusMARC Summer Summit in Pittsburgh. The event brought together motorcoach professionals for expert-led education and collaboration focused on safety, operations, training, and industry best practices.

During the summit, Jessica also had the opportunity to meet Derek Barrs, Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) within the U.S. Department of Transportation. Experiences like these help our team stay connected to the industry, continue learning, and bring valuable insights back to Cardinal as we remain committed to safe operations.

Congratulations to Ellie on her promotion to Fleet Maintenance Coordinator!

Ellie has been with us for just over two years. She started with Cardinal Transportation as a senior in high school through the Pickaway/Ross Career & Technology Center. Ellie has been working as a mechanic and has been instrumental in keeping our preventive maintenance program on track.
