A big win for Columbus and Central Ohio! Lufthansa’s new nonstop service from John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) to Frankfurt is an exciting milestone, connecting our region to one of Europe’s major global hubs.

Introducing nonstop service from Columbus to Frankfurt, Germany, with Lufthansa, launching May 5, 2027!

The new route will operate three times weekly aboard a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, giving Ohio travelers a nonstop option to Germany and access to destinations across Europe and beyond through Lufthansa’s Frankfurt hub.

This is more than a new dot on our route map. It’s a new connection between Ohio and the world, made possible by the growth of our region, the support of our community, and travelers who continue to choose CMH.

We’re just getting started. There’s plenty more to share between now and takeoff, but for today, we’ll simply say:

Friday’s Homecoming parade in Columbus was one to remember! Our team was honored to help carry BuckeyeThon's 25th anniversary float down the route, surrounded by school spirit and so much support for a great cause. Moments like this remind us that transportation is about more than getting from one place to the next. Thank you for letting us be part of such a special milestone!
