Airfield lighting and signage enhancements are on the horizon 🌇 Thanks to the Federal Aviation Administration, received approximately $3.8M through the Airport Improvement Program.

Projects in scope for completion are reconstruction of the airport lighting vault, reconstruction of lighting and some signage for Runway 9R/27L and Taxiway A, plus reconstruction of Taxiway C signage.

“The reliability of the new lighting system will be a safety enhancement to our users, and the reduced energy will be a favorable environmental and financial impact,” said Airport Director Karl Von Hagel.

Airport users can visit the airport construction webpage (link in comments) for more information. Current closures and most up-to-date information will be communicated through the NOTAM system.

Join us! Air Force Thunderbirds representatives will visit on Friday, June 19 at 8:30 a.m. to deliver a youth-focused presentation in collaboration with The Ohio State University Center for Aviation Studies. Topics include leadership, professionalism and goal achievement. There will be an opportunity for a meet and greet with members of the Thunderbirds team following the presentation.
