Lebanon-Hartford Paving Project Update (16148)
Paving operations on the I-89 southbound Exit 20 off-ramp are now expected to take place on Monday, October 19, beginning at approximately 8:30 AM. The ramp will be closed during this work.
Paving on the I-91 northbound to I-89 southbound Exit 10A ramp has been completed, so no additional closure of that ramp is anticipated on Monday.

Construction Reminder: I-89 in Lebanon, NH & Vermont
Heads up, motorists! Paving operations along I-89 near the New Hampshire/Vermont border will impact traffic Wednesday, October 14, through Friday, October 16. Here's what to expect:
Wednesday, October 14
• I-89 NB left lane closure for paving.
• I-89 SB milling operations.
• No ramp closures anticipated, but expect afternoon delays in both directions.
Thursday, October 15
• I-89 SB right lane closure for paving.
• VT I-91 Exit 10A North: Closed 9 AM to 4 PM.
• NH I-89 SB Exit 20 off-ramp: Closed noon to 5 PM.
• Expect delays along I-89 SB, near the I-91 interchange and NH Exit 19.
Friday, October 16
• I-89 SB left lane closure for paving.
• No ramp closures anticipated, but delays are expected, particularly near the I-91 interchange.
Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling through work zones. We appreciate your patience as crews work to complete these paving improvements!

Last week, Nick King, NHDOT’s Bureau Administrator for Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO), was honored with the Award of Excellence at the New England Intelligent Transportation Society (NEITS) Annual Interchange!
This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, leadership, and contributions to advancing intelligent transportation throughout New England.

Congratulations to Michael Hlushuk on earning his Professional Engineer (PE) license!
Michael began his career with NHDOT in 2015 in Highway Design and has since worked in both the Paving and Roadway Sections. Along the way, he’s moved desks five times, giving him plenty of opportunities to collaborate with different teams and colleagues!
For Michael, one of the best parts of working at NHDOT is the people.
“There’s a genuine culture of supporting one another and helping each other succeed, along with a shared appreciation for the work-life balance the DOT offers.”

New traffic pattern coming to Jaffrey! The new US 202 connector bridge over the Contoocook River will open Friday, October 9, weather permitting.
Drivers should watch for new traffic patterns, stop signs, narrower lanes, and turning-lane changes around US 202, Blake Street, and River Street.

Daytime paving begins Thursday, October 8, on the F.E. Everett Turnpike (US 3) Exit 12 ramps in Merrimack. Work will take place between 9 AM and 3 PM and will require lane and ramp closures. The work is expected to take about two weeks, weather permitting.
