If your looking for some weekend ideas in May, check out The Carolina Strawberry Festival!
Starting May 1st in North Carolina, the Carolina Strawberry Festival kicks of in the small town of Wallace for a full weekend of delicious strawberries, strawberry treats, music, food and fun! Held May 1–2, 2026 right in downtown Wallace, this two-day event celebrates the town’s deep farming roots and its well-known strawberry crops. Friday night runs from about 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. with live music on the main stage, food vendors, wings, and a busy beer and wine garden. Saturday picks back up from around 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. with craft vendors, carnival rides, kids activities, and nonstop entertainment. You’ll find strawberries everywhere, from fresh picked berries and shortcake to jams, baked goods, and sweet treats. There’s also a 5K run and walk, a festival pageant, and fun contests going on. All weekend long, you can shop local booths, catch live shows, and enjoy fair food along with strawberry favorites. Admission is free, making it one of eastern North Carolina’s best spring weekends.
