Earlier this year, Associated Terminals proudly christened the D. Lopez and the Bill S. — two new hybrid Liebherr CBG 500 E cranes representing the next step in our continued investment in innovation, efficiency, and the future of the Lower Mississippi River.

We’re honored to see the story of this milestone featured in Port Log through an article by Misty Milioto, highlighting not only the cranes themselves, but the people, partnerships, and long-term commitment behind them.

Special thanks to everyone who helped make the christening such a memorable event and to the many team members whose work continues to move the river forward every day.

Last week, we welcomed team members, partners, and friends to our new MM158 Office in Convent for an afternoon of great food and fellowship at our second Spring 2026 Seafood Boil.

The event gave everyone an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day operation, spend time together, and enjoy some great seafood with the people who help keep our operations moving every day along the river.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the afternoon a success. We’re excited for this next chapter at MM158 and look forward to many more great moments there in the future.

Associated Terminals was proud to take part in Destrehan High School’s College & Career Expo this morning, where Recruiter Keri had the opportunity to connect with students as they begin exploring what comes next after graduation.

Following yesterday’s recognition of International Day for Women in Maritime, it was especially meaningful to spend time introducing young women to the wide range of careers available on the inland waterways and throughout the maritime industry. From operations and logistics to safety, maintenance, administration, leadership roles, and our many capable women working out in the field every day, there are countless opportunities for the next generation to build rewarding careers on the River.

We appreciate Destrehan High School for inviting us to be part of such an important event and look forward to continuing to support workforce development in our communities.
