OMG, we had the coolest experience at Casa Grande Ruins National Monument!! We done a little hands on homeschooling.This place is packed with history! Did you know the "Great House" was built by the Ancestral Sonoran Desert People over 650 years ago? It's one of the largest prehistoric structures ever built in North America, and no one's totally sure what it was used for. Observatory? Gathering place? Giant ancient Airbnb? We may never know!We wandered through ancient walls, soaked up the desert sun, and even picked up some prickly pear cactus salt water taffy. Mmm, so good!! Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area! Totally FREE!!
