EAA Chapter 494 Chapter 494 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), based at Corona Airport in Corona, CA. Social Gathering is the 2nd Thurs of each month at 6 pm.

Hangar Meetings 1st and 3rd Saturdays at 10am. Chapter meet ups are held every first and third Saturday at 10 am. We also hold a Social Gathering on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6pm. Food and pot-luck sides/desserts are usually available along with a short presentation related to aviation. Come by hangar 1925 and check us out.

A small group of Chapter aircraft (5) are flying up to Kern Valley airport by Lake Isabella along the Kern River. 2 came for the day and 3 of us are staying overnight, camping on the airport and returning on Sunday. Fun trip, hot, but we had the Kern River to soak in and cool off. Used the airport van to go into town for dinner, refreshments, and ice cream. Some good stories and stargazing.
Added some extra pics and Sundays departure day.

Our 3 chapter members who flew their planes to Oshkosh and back are all home. Shawn took 2 days to return Friday afternoon in his RV-7A. Joachim in his RV-12 and Mark in his C150 both returned Saturday morning after 4 days on the “road”.
