One of the main reasons I fell in love with Disney Destinations was because of the way the details make you feel. That is especially true of Disney's newest Resort- Lakeshore Lodge!

Scheduled to open in Summer of 2027, this new lakeside destination makes you a part of nature with whimsical details that bring to mind the classic stories of Bambi and Pocahontas. From your first step into the lobby you'll feel the draw of the Colors of the Wind through the thoughtful design and intricate, natural details!

WHO I would book at Disney’s Polynesian Resort @ Disney World: Large Families, Couples, Families with young kids.

Why: This resort has a variety of room styles from large Overwater Bungalows to rooms with 2 Queens AND an extra 5th bed. The resort offers 4 types of suites and penthouses plus 1- and 2-bedroom villas with all the conveniences for a lengthy stay.

🌊The Vibe: Tropical of course! This resort echoes the vibes of the south seas (think Hawaii and Fiji), palm trees and beaches included! The modestly colorful rooms have the patios or balconies, to sit and relax in the tropical air.

🍍Food: The exotic Great Ceremonial House, the hub of the village, contains most of the dining and shopping. Couples can experience the most sought after tiki bar- Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto and families can enjoy character breakfasts with Stitch and Lilo at ‘Ohana - or enjoy the famous ‘Ohana noodles for lunch or dinner!

I was SOOO against doing this on vacation! After all, I'm supposed to be resting from responsibilities, right?

👕🧺 But did you know that Disney resorts AND cruises have laundry rooms so you can do a load or two yourself and skip having someone else do a small bag of your dirty laundry for 50 bucks??

Disney Resorts and Cruise ships have laundry rooms have laundry detergent for purchase. You can also use an app to keep track of when your laundry is done so you don't have to interrupt your lounging to check on it!!

Doing a load of laundry on my pool day is a game changer, especially in the sweaty heat! I just love having clean clothes for my return flight.✈️
