We're looking for motivated, hardworking, customer-focused individuals, with a positive attitude who want to join our team driving a company van delivering FedEx Ground packages in Council Bluffs and Omaha.
As a Delivery Driver for SMA Delivery Inc, it will be your job to exceed customer expectations and make sure all orders, large or small, are safely delivered on time, to the right location, with a pleasant greeting. Delivery Drivers are expected to maintain, and safeguard company issued equipment, demonstrate good decision making and problem-solving ability, as well as effective written and verbal communication skills.
Successful Delivery Drivers work well with other team members, are willing to help, work to accomplish assigned tasks with a positive attitude, and have a willingness to tackle any challenge with enthusiasm.
Full-time (8-12 hours a day/4 days a week or 8-10 hours a day/5 days a week).
Must Be 21 years old.
Must be able to pass extensive background screening and drug screen.
General Responsibilities:
Adhere to strict safety and quality standards on and off the road.
Interact in a positive and a professional manner with customers, the general public, and other team members while performing duties and delivering products to customers' homes, retail, and business locations.
Use company issued scanner with designated apps to accurately deliver customer packages, manage delivery progress, and solve obstacles. Able to use company designated applications.
Safely maneuver company van.
Avoid incidents or accidents with other vehicles or other's property.
Be able to delivery in all weather conditions, and in the evening with limited visibility/darkness.
May assist in training other team members.
Work Environment:
Under tight deadlines, drives a delivery van to multiple customer residences and businesses, climbs in and out of van, and walks up and down stairs as required to deliver packages according to established procedures, in all weather conditions.
Flexibility is key; routes may vary and may be delayed due to traffic from on road congestion, construction, or other factors- such as inclement weather.
Accurately deliver packages in all weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, etc),
Will deliver FedEx packages with our vans loaded with the latest technology.
Qualifications:
Holds high ethical standards at all times.
Proven track record of reliability.
Prior professional driving experience a plus, but not required.
Excellent attention to detail with skill set to problem solve independently.
Demonstrate strong communication and decision-making skills.
Self-motivated and able to work in a self-directed environment with an upbeat attitude.
Ability to work with a team in a fast paced, ever changing environment
Ability to effectively operate company provided GPS application on company provided iPad and safely navigate company provided vehicle.
Job Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old and posses a valid driver's license.
Ability to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 12 hours long. including climbing in and out of a cargo van many times a day.
Ability to safely operate and navigate a cargo van in all weather conditions
