The weather has not been the best for the weekend kickoff to summer, at least for getting outdoors.

So, even though we do have limited retail we've decided to have our first Memorial day weekend sale!

A testament to Royalex! This canoe was folded over a rock with a full hull of water for 5 days! Looking at it in the water, many of us thought it would have cracked through all three layers.

To our surprise, once it was released, the hull popped back into shape almost immediately! We all thought it would have to sit in the sun for a few days!

It's quite unfortunate that this material is no longer produced.!

Alleghany Adventure Day Camp introduces Travis Overstreet II, an accomplished canoe and kayak paddler since 1982 with decades of experience in paddle sports instruction and outdoor education.

Since 1988, he has taught through the Boy Scouts of America and the American Canoe Association, guiding paddlers of all ages and abilities to build confidence and ensure safety on the water. As the camp’s lead kayak instructor and guide, Travis holds nationally recognized credentials, including ACA Level 3 Kayak Instructor and Level 4 Canoe Instructor certifications, along with WOOFA certification.

A Team Paddler for Silverbirch Canoes, he is celebrated for his passion for paddling, mentorship, and outdoor adventure, inspiring future river enthusiasts through leadership, education, and hands-on experience.
