Again! This time I am grateful to be invited by Holland America Line to experience their Round-trip Seattle sailing visiting Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka, and Victoria, BC!

Ya'll know how much I LOVE Alaska, and I can not wait to see what the landscape and wildlife activity looks like in August! A client once sent me a screenshot mid-checkout — same hotel, same dates, $340 more than what I'd quoted her. No upgrade. No breakfast included and even with my planning fee added. Just the published rate, sitting there, more expensive than working with me.

Most people assume a travel agent is an added cost, when it's usually the opposite — the upgrades, the un-published rates, the amenities you don't see until someone with the right access books it for you.

Anyone can call themselves a travel advisor. Swipe through, and you'll know in three questions if they actually are one.

The right advisor reusing the same Italy itinerary for every client who says the word "Italy." They're asking what you actually want out of the trip — then building around your preferences.

They aren't just booking your flights and hoping for the best. They're the person who already got word your flight is cancelled at 6am and already has you rebooked on the next available flight before you even wake up.

And they're not dodging the insurance question, because they've had real clients need real coverage, and they'd rather you hear it from someone who's seen it happen than find out the hard way.
