I can't believe how many generators I've worked on, and sold over the last 2 weeks....just had another come in today......

I can't even believe this....I got a gen in a couple days ago, customer said it was running fine, then it just would die after 20 mins or so....so, I tested it... and yep...the same thing....I thought it was a carb issue, until I pulled a fuel sample, and found there was water in the fuel.....so today I drained the tank, and almost 3 hours later, I'm still draining water out of the tank!!!!! So far, about a 1/2 quart or more.....unreal.....it's still draining as I type this.......DO NOT buy any fuel that has ethanol in it, most stations pumps say " may contain up to 10% ethanol ".......and I've said before, it absorbs moisture......then you get a puddle of water sitting at the bottom of your gas tank, then your carb sucks it in.....and, if your lucky, it emulsifies with the gas, but runs like s**t.....and there's NO stabilizer that will fix that problem....you have to drain the fuel out completely and start all over. This is the worst I've seen. I can't believe it even ran to begin with, because of the amount of water that was in the gas....

Just picked up another generator that will be for sale....it's a Generac 5500/8500 surge watts......runs great, puts out good power, I just need to clean it up, and change the oil, and plug....

So, I just put together, and got running, another generator, runs great, puts out good power, has 120/240 outlets, Is a 4550/3550 Watt so will run most of your home, or all of your RV.....it needs a fuel tank, and found one on E-Bay for under $50.....I'd take $250 for the gen as is, or $375 if I have to buy the tank and install it....it's been running flawlessly for over an hr now on a temp tank that I have, but it's not the one for it......let me know....oh, and it's pretty quiet for it's size.....Nobody realizes how much they need a generator, until the power goes out, and they don't have one! Happens all the time, then there's a run on them.... stores can't keep up with the demand, then after the power is restored, they either return them, or shove them into the corner of the garage, or put them in the shed, and forget about them.....until the next time

Hey every one, thanks for sticking with me....still going thru this cancer journey with the wife, and trying to get along the best I can, and not doing well at it.....my yard looks like s**t because either my machines are broke down, or the weather sucks, so once again I've fallen behind, and the s**t pile just keeps getting deeper.....and I keep getting older.....The wife is doing well all things considered. If you've called for service, and I haven't responded, I apologize.....just got a lot going on right now.

So, brought this turd home today, has a 21hp Cummins
Onan single cylinder OHC engine...it has a drive shaft....the rest of the tractor is garbage

So, one of my customers came by yesterday, said his ZTR is making a weird sound, and won't start. and that he thought that maybe the flywheel key was sheared.....well, he lives down the road so made a house call...he showed me what it was doing....told him to stop.....don't try to start it again, the starter was grinding....looked it over, and grabbed the starter, it was loose......REALLY loose....I said " here's your problem......the mounting bolts were gone.....the starter was only being held up by the shroud.....I don't yet know if they sheared off, or just backed out and fell off.....hopefully they just fell out, that's a simple easy fix, if they sheared off....not so much, was supposed to go get it today, but my insomnia kicked my ass, and I didn't fall asleep until after dawn........again....so had to postpone picking it up.......

So, in exchange for work, I may end up with a 3 gang antique reel mower, it used to be used for mowing golf courses....is pretty cool, and I can't wait to bring it home......will post pics once I get it home.....

So, I re-powered my friends Colman big wheeled mini bike with a new-ish ,210 going from a 196......what a difference.....the other engine was leaking oil like crazy, because the person that took the governor off didn't know what they were doing, and did it completely wrong....now, it's back up and running, and is a beast with a new engine........Mitis.shop
