The Jefferson County Port Authority sends our condolences to the family of Representative Ken Waller. Ken was a huge supporter of the port, and as County Executive, he was very instrumental in putting the pieces in place for us to be what we are today. He continued that role in the House of Representatives. Godspeed, Kenny.

Jefferson County, MO - Government would like to remember dedicated public servant Ken Waller.

Ken began his career in government when he ran for and was elected Jefferson County Treasurer from 2005-2008. From 2011-2018, Ken served as the first elected Charter County Executive. He then went on to serve as the County Elections Clerk from 2019-2022. Ken was elected in 2022 as Missouri State Representative for the 114th District and was serving that term at the time of his passing. He was a current candidate for Missouri State Senate.

Additionally, Ken was a member of several boards and organizations, including the Missouri Association of Counties, the Missouri Clerks Association, the Missouri Treasurers Association, the Jefferson-Franklin Community Action Corp, the East-West Gateway Council of Governments, the COMTREA Mental Health Fund Board, the EDC of Jefferson County, and the YMCA of Jefferson County. He has been awarded the 110 Percent Award by KTJJ and was nominated as the Boy Scouts of America’s Man of the Year.

Mr. Ken Waller is going to be greatly missed by the community and all who knew him.

What a beautiful American flag to remind us of our freedom. JCPA would like to thank our partners Jefferson County Department of Parks and Recreation for doing such a wonderful job installing the flag pole, and for hosting a beautiful ceremony. God bless our veterans, God bless Missouri, and God bless America.

Is anyone interested in what this beauty does? In this video, she is off-loading product from inside a barge, then loading it into the truck waiting up top. This is actually footage our operators took, during her first and second buckets. We are so excited for what the future holds.

What a great day for the Jefferson County Port Authority. Our Sennebogen 855 has finally arrived and was driven onto our dock this morning. With 318 HP and an operating weight of 182,984 lbs, this beautiful machine is definitely something to see. This new addition will help our port operations handle increased freight and commodities in a more efficient and timely manner.
