Tentative agenda for the May 13th board meeting

This morning, I went over to the port to meet the students. While waiting, I got some great shots of several of the trucks that were being loaded with an organic soy meal. Our beautiful Sennebogen 855 can load one of these trucks in roughly 4 minutes. What took 2 days to unload before with the Komatsu, takes about 1/2 a day with the Sennebogen. These trucks, along with those I missed, were loaded in about 90 minutes.

Today, a local school brought some juniors and seniors over to the port. They are in a newly formed Environmental Science class where they learn about cool things, like rivers, erosion, water quality, ecosystem structures, pollution, and natural cycles to name a few. They had a brief safety class, suited up in life jackets, and then "walked the plank" to go board a tug which took them for a ride down the river.
