Been slacking on the posts this month but here’s a quick recap! We’ve been doing some around the world trips from mangroves to redfish, this month should get those big schools of redfish going! Scallop season is looking up with great reports!

Just in: NOAA Fisheries announced that the 2026 Gag recreational season in the Gulf will open September 1, 2026, and close at 12:01 am on October 1, 2026.

After taking a week off it time to get back on the water and also give the trip away that was promised for sharing the most posts for the past few months. The winner is Brandon Cassady ! Congratulations, send me a message or give me a call to claim your prize.

We closed out Snook season with a bang and are rolling straight into tarpon season! Gonna be after those big shad for a couple months and then comes Scallop Season, I’m going to have a giveaway for a Free Scallop Trip coming out very soon as well!

Been another great week for Florida Fishing Adventures ! From nearshore fishing to inshore we’ve been doing it all, slow tide this week made it tough but we made it happen as much as we could. More fantastic inshore fishing happening, we’re going to take tomorrow off for some much needed maintenance and then back at it. We have a few openings at the end of the week, for the last shot at an in season snook!

We had some exotics today on both boats! Tyler had a nice Cobia while putting together a nice catch of trout for dinner and I caught the first Tarpon of the season for me! Tis the season, here we go…

Did you hear? Last week at the Gulf Council meeting, NOAA Fisheries indicated the potential length for the 2026 recreational season for gag grouper. Here’s what we know:

Recreational gag season will open September 1
The season is estimated to remain open for 25-34 days

It’s been a great couple days for us, Tyler had an offshore catch and release grouper trip and mixed in some hogfish for the table, then had a fun inshore half day this morning with plenty of action ! I been somehow catching some snook, key word some how but id rather be lucky than good any day! Back at it again tomorrow!

Myself and Captain Tyler have this Saturday open, let us know if you would like to get out there !

Captain Tyler had a great day inshore with his morning half day producing a pile of keeper trout with some exotics mixed in and his afternoon trip wanted snook and that’s what they got, the boys got it, he’s got a few days left open at the end of the month !

I went offshore for fun with friends, that was pretty good too!
