🌽We got rolling on irrigated corn early this week in southern Kansas. This hot and dry weather is not giving up and drying things out fast. This is the earliest we have ever harvested irrigated corn in that area. Everyone is definitely keeping busy.

Did someone say it’s National Dog Day!?
Hank has traveled many miles with us and has spent many hours riding in the cab, which he loves to do!
Taking a dog along is extra work but he loves being with his people. And it helps that he’s a good listener on those long working days when you need someone to vent tošŸ˜„

We wrapped up our wheat harvest in Montana early this week after spending almost a month there. It was a great run, although the crops didn't turn out as well as we had hoped, but we're still thankful for the good weather and wonderful hospitality from our farmer and his family. We spent two and a half days on the road moving back to Oklahoma this week and were able to get right into the field harvesting dryland corn🌽.

We finished up in Kansas a couple of weeks ago. Moved up to Nebraska. Spent a couple of days there checking out the drought-stricken crops and visiting friends. Continued our move north with a pit stop in the Black Hills to check out the sights. We have now been in Montana for several days harvesting field peas.

Harvest update…It's been a month on the road for us so far, and in that time, we've spent three weeks in Oklahoma and have been in western Kansas for a week now. We had a few rain delays while in Oklahoma, but overall, we're happy with our harvest there and finished right before the big rains started. We've been cutting and stripping wheat in western Kansas this past week and, surprisingly, have been finding better wheat than expected. Currently, we're on another rain delay, as this area has received much-needed moisture.

Kicking off our 30th Harvest season with a great crew. Thankful for a safe travel day to start our journey. We definitely had cool temperatures for moving day this week.
We will have a few more crew members joining us along the way.
This season is already giving us challenges with drought areas and high fuel prices but this ā€œain’t our first rodeoā€.
We’re determined to make the best of it.
Here’s to long days, hopefully finding good crops, and making many memories along the wayšŸŒ¾šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Things continue to stay busy for us with our trucks hauling and harvest prep. But you know it’s close to departure day when the bosses' harvest home on wheels starts getting packed up.
Harvest 2026 starting soon🌾

Say a prayer for the farmers and custom harvesters this season.

It’s dry. Its Cold. It’s too wet to plant. It’s unpredictable. And in a lot of places, the crops just aren’t there. You can do everything right all year—and still watch it fall apart because the rain didn’t come or the storms came at the wrong time.

This is the part people don’t always see.
The stress.
The risk.
The sleepless nights heading into harvest.

Pray for the custom crews and all the people who will soon be moving equipment up and down the highways in the coming weeks. Long days, long miles, oversized loads, and a lot riding on every trip.

Pray for safety, patience, good decisions, and for everyone to make it home safe at the end of the day.

And pray that somehow, despite the conditions, there’s still a harvest worth fighting for.

ā˜€ļøSpring is springing around here!
Winter seems to have gone by fast. It doesn't feel like we have slowed down much at all this winter.
Trucks continue to stay busy hauling, and harvest prep continues, which will be here before we know it🌾

Such a great weekend as our kids and several years of C&K alumni, from many different states, surprised us with an early anniversary celebration. This year is our 30th wedding anniversary and our 30th harvest season!
I always say our crew members become family to us and it definitely brought tears to my eyes when they walked out and surprised us as we have not seen some of them for a several years.
The relationships made within the crew each season is truly special and we love that so many of them are now lifelong friends.
