3.6L Pentastar Cylinder Head Replacement
Removed and replaced the affected cylinder head.
Installed a new OEM cylinder head gasket and new torque-to-yield cylinder head bolts.
Inspected cylinder block deck surface and cleaned all gasket mating surfaces.
Reassembled valvetrain components and verified camshaft timing.
Replaced all required intake manifold, valve cover, timing cover, and exhaust gaskets disturbed during service.
Replaced engine oil, oil filter, spark plugs, and refilled the cooling system with the correct OAT coolant.
Bled the cooling system, cleared diagnostic trouble codes, and verified proper engine operation.
Road tested vehicle to confirm no coolant or oil leaks, proper engine performance, and no fault codes present. This follows Chrysler's service guidance to use new head bolts, replace the head gasket, change the oil/filter, install new spark plugs, and refill the cooling system after cylinder head replacement.

This is exactly why our transmissions include free installations a thorough inspection at no additional charge.
During the installation of this customer's Tow Beast 68RFE transmission, we discovered a section of the transmission wiring harness with worn-through insulation and broken wires. Issues like this can easily be overlooked, leading to transmission performance problems, fault codes, or even repeat repairs.
At Mopar Masters, we don't just replace parts—we take the time to identify and correct underlying issues to ensure the repair is done right the first time. Attention to detail and dependable service are what set us apart.
Tow Beast 68RFE installed, wiring concerns identified and corrected, and this customer is back on the road with confidence

Vehicle presented with complaints of reduced power, frequent regeneration events, and elevated exhaust backpressure. Diagnostic testing revealed the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) was severely face-plugged with soot and heavily contaminated with ash deposits, restricting exhaust flow through the filter substrate. Differential pressure readings across the DPF were significantly above specification, confirming excessive restriction within the aftertreatment system.
Further diagnosis identified a leaking EGR cooler as the root cause of the failure. Coolant entering the exhaust stream through the failed EGR cooler introduced contaminants into the aftertreatment system, accelerating ash accumulation and contributing to severe face plugging of the DPF. The resulting restriction prevented effective regeneration, increased exhaust backpressure, reduced engine performance, and placed additional stress on the turbocharger and exhaust aftertreatment components.
Corrective action includes replacement of the failed EGR cooler, replacement of the DPF assembly, inspection of related aftertreatment components for coolant contamination, and verification of proper EGR and exhaust system operation. Following repairs, all applicable aftertreatment adaptations and learned values should be reset, and the vehicle should be road-tested to confirm normal exhaust backpressure, regeneration performance, and overall engine operation.

Inspection revealed engine damage consistent with the use of an oil viscosity not meeting manufacturer specifications. Modern engines are engineered with precise lubrication requirements, and deviating from the recommended oil weight can adversely affect oil pressure, lubrication performance, and component longevity. This serves as a reminder that manufacturer oil specifications are established through extensive engineering and testing to ensure proper engine operation and durability.

Cooling System Inspection
Tested coolant condition and found the coolant had become degraded and acidic, resulting in elevated electrolysis (stray voltage) within the cooling system. Excessive electrolysis can contribute to premature deterioration of cooling system components, sensor malfunctions, and electrical-related issues. Recommended servicing the cooling system with a complete coolant flush and refill using the manufacturer-specified coolant to restore proper corrosion protection and electrical balance within the system.
