Day 5 – To Be or Not to Be… on a Sleeper Train 🎭🚂
We spent our last day in London soaking up history on a guided tour of Shakespeare’s Globe. We also stopped by some "must see" places that we hadn't seen yet, like Buckingham Palace.

Then came a unique adventure on our itinerary: the Caledonian Sleeper from London Euston to the Scottish Highlands! 🚂
We checked into the Euston guest lounge, boarded our Club en-suite room, and tried to fit the two of us and all of our bags into our very cute (and incredibly tiny cabin).

Fall asleep in London, wake up in Scotland. It’s honestly one of the most imteresting ways to travel!
Did I sleep? [Honest answer - no not really. But I'm here for the experience of it all, and can sleep when I'm back home]

Day 4: Wizards, Ch*****ne & Secret Bars 🪄🥂
Today we went from Hogwarts to Soho, which is a normal Sunday, right?

We spent the morning at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter. My inner 11-year-old is still waiting for her letter. ✉️ Favorite set: the Great Hall decorated for Halloween 🎃🕯.

Butterb**r verdict: I don't think it was AS good as at the Universal parks 🤷‍♀️. Disney families, if your kids love movie magic, this one’s a must.

Dinner was at Bob Bob Ricard, where there is a “Press for Ch*****ne” button at every table. I repeat: A BUTTON. FOR CH*****NE. We pressed it at least a few times 😉🍾

Then we headed downstairs to Cahoots, a speakeasy styled like a 1940s London Underground station. Live music, cocktails served in fun glassware, and bartenders who stayed in character -- my kind of place!

Day 3 – Highlands & HIGH TEAS ☕️
This is where we bring in the TEA part of my itinerary name!

The morning started with a guided tour of Kensington Gardens with peaceful views of nature and swans. Then came the Royal High Tea at The Orangery at Kensington Palace. Tiered trays, tiny sandwiches, and me pretending I like tea more than my usual black coffee. 🫣 🫖

Best thing on the tray: tiny cucumber sandwiches.
And I had to lean into the debate --- Scones, jam first or cream first? There is a definite right and wrong answer, depending on who you ask! If you ask me, it's clotted cream first.

Next we went museum-hopping to the V&A and the Natural History Museum (both FREE, which is the best price in London).

We ended the night with a proper English b**r in a pub and then some fish and chips and mushy peas (I honestly love these!!) back at our hotel.

Day 2 – Hello, London! 💂‍♀️
Nothing makes you feel fancier after an overnight flight than walking into Heathrow arrivals and seeing a driver holding a sign with your name on it. This is the kind of thing I set up for my clients, and I can confirm it hits the same when it’s for me. 😌

We dropped our bags at The Royal Horseguards. It’s an absolutely stunning property, and in a super convenient location. Then we did a little wandering, trying to learn the area and also stay awake!

At 3pm came the Borough Market Food Tour, also known as three hours of “I couldn’t possibly… okay, one more bite.”

Favorite bite: fish and chips with salt and vinegar
Most surprising: sticky toffee pudding

We ended the night with a Thames Uber Boat ride to see London all lit up. ✨️

Day 1 – Wheels Up ✈️
Two flights, one all day layover, and a 6:35am departure from JAX that I booked myself, so I have no one else to blame. 🙃

First stop was Nashville, where I met up with the other half of this girls' trip. We made some cute goodie bags for our flight crew, and then we took the overnight flight to London with British Airways.
Advisor tip: on an overnight transatlantic flight, the extra legroom is worth every penny if you can afford it. Your knees will thank you!
