Last week, we took a moment to celebrate our amazing employees for Employee Appreciation Day! The greatest thing about OpenRoad Global has always been our people. Each day, they show up to provide excellent service to our customers, carrier partners, and to one another. They continually embrace the values that drive OpenRoad, while embracing growth with adaptability and positivity.

We’re incredibly proud of the talent, teamwork, and passion that make OpenRoad a success—and it was a joy to come together to celebrate that.

On your marks… get set… BAKE. 🍰

For Valentines Day, we hosted the Great OpenRoad Bake Off — and our team did not disappoint!

We enjoyed Rosé du Pommes, Red Velvet Pâtisserie, Coco Amour Crinkles, Rosé Citrus Bars, Tres Leches aux Fraises, and Cocoa Velvet Noirss, all worthy of a Hollywood handshake (and yes… only one handshake was awarded 👀), the creativity, flavor, and heart on display were seriously impressive.

Our esteemed judges, “Prue” and “Paul,” evaluated each bake on taste, texture, and creativity — while enduring an impressive number of truly awful baking puns (😁).

There were laughs.
There were dramatic judging pauses.
There was one very earned handshake.

And in the end?
Everything tasted delicious.

Proof that at OpenRoad, we don’t just rise to the occasion — we rise together. 💕

We’re pleased to share that OpenRoad Global has acquired Beaver Freight Services, a respected Intermodal provider based in the Pacific Northwest.

This marks our first acquisition and represents a thoughtful step forward as we expand our Intermodal capabilities while strengthening our ability to serve customers across all modes. With established IMC relationships and enhanced rail access, this addition allows us to bring more flexibility, scale, and value to the supply chains we support.

Beaver Freight Services has built a strong reputation over more than two decades, and we’re honored to welcome that experience and those relationships into OpenRoad as we continue serving customers with care, consistency, and integrity.
