Last week, we hosted our second annual pickleball tournament — three days of matches between eight doubles teams across HQ here in Dallas, Oregon.

Beyond the competition, it's become a tradition we look forward to every year: a chance to step outside, cheer each other on, and enjoy some friendly competition together.

OpenRoad Global has been in this industry for twenty-two years, which makes this achievement all the more special to us. Through every freight cycle, we've shown up for our customers and carriers in order to build a company people can count on. We've always aimed to stay disciplined in order to grow responsibly, so achieving the kind of growth that gets recognized on a list like this is humbling and exciting.

I think we can all agree that desk jobs are tough on the neck and shoulders. So, we decided to bring in some relief!

Our HQ team traded keyboards for massage chairs during an on-site chair massage day, and the feedback said it all: people needed it more than they realized. A few quiet minutes to reset in the middle of a busy workday made a real difference.

A big thank-you to our amazing HR team for planning the event (snacks and water included) and for consistently finding ways to prioritize employee wellness. It's this kind of care that makes OpenRoad a great place to work.

At OpenRoad, we believe culture is built in the small moments — like pausing for an ice cream social to celebrate National Ice Cream Day together.

Team members from HQ and our Tualatin office came together to scoop up favorites (Tillamook's Salty Caramel Pretzel took the top spot 🏆), load up on toppings, and take a well-earned break from the day-to-day.

It's a good reminder that connection doesn't need a big occasion — just a little sweetness and the right people.

What a day! ☀️

Our Summer Lunch was our biggest one yet, and we're still smiling thinking about it! It was incredible to see so many of our team members, along with their families and friends, come together for an afternoon of great food, fun, and connection.

From the amazing BBQ by Roger That BBQ to bounce houses, co****le, coloring, and plenty of laughter, it was the perfect way to kick off summer. Most importantly, it gave us the opportunity to spend quality time with the people who make our workplace such a special community.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made this event such a success. We can't wait to do it again!
