When Kyle Jones made the move from Fayetteville, North Carolina, to Stevens Transport, he was looking for a new opportunity to grow. Today, we're seeing that growth come to life as we are proud to announce his promotion to Transportation Manager, IT and Innovation, a role that bridges data with real-world operational needs and serves as a natural next step for his talents.

Since joining Dedicated Services, Kyle has become a mainstay on the team. Whether he’s building KPI reports, leading operational initiatives, or stepping in to help a teammate troubleshoot a problem, he approaches every day with a calm, solutions-focused energy and an eager willingness to support those around him.

For Kyle, the most meaningful part of the work has always been the people. One of his favorite memories was working alongside Rio at the DFW window, talking face-to-face with drivers daily and learning the operational heart of Stevens. That experience gave him a deep appreciation for the effort behind every mile, especially the relentless work of our 7-on/7-off, extended coverage, and night teams. Having seen their challenges firsthand, Kyle wants those teams to know that their work never goes unnoticed, and their value to this company cannot be overstated.

Outside of work, Kyle stays grounded by reconnecting with friends, relaxing, and pairing his love for music with golf, a combination he put to good use recently in Michigan, shooting an impressive two over par at the fairlife Charity Golf Tournament.

Kyle, thank you for your dedication, your respect for your teammates, and the genuine spirit you bring to work every day. Congratulations on a promotion that is truly well-earned!

There's a special kind of trust that comes with sharing the road, the miles, and the mission with a great teammate. We're celebrating a duo that has quickly proven what a strong partnership looks like out there.

Please join us in celebrating our April Team Drivers of the Month!

🥇 Since joining Stevens Transport in July 2025, DeAndre Young and Tanya Freitas have each brought their own drive and determination to the team. DeAndre, originally from Wichita Falls, completed his training at ATDS Truck Driving School and credits his family's support for pushing him forward every day. One of his favorite memories so far was naming his truck "Black Belle," a moment that made the road feel like home.

Tanya, a California native, earned her CDL from Roadmaster in North Carolina and now runs her own business as an Independent Contractor. She loves getting paid to see the country and encourages new drivers to get creative with their time off and soak up every experience the lifestyle has to offer.

Congratulations, DeAndre and Tanya! 👏🚛

After 31 years of selfless service as an Army leader, medic, and mentor, Gary brought his strategic mindset and heart for helping others to his second career in transportation. After earning his CDL at Southern Careers Institute, Gary joined the Stevens Fleet. Driving provides independence and a new way to stay connected to his lifelong calling, which is supporting others. Whether he’s walking in remembrance with the Travis Manion Foundation or offering a word of encouragement to a fellow veteran, Gary shows up for people. He proves every day that simple presence, guidance, and genuine care can lift up an entire community.

🎖️ Staff Sergeant Michael Bivens (U.S. Marine Corps)
Following 13 years of faithful service in the Marines, Michael chose to follow in his father’s footsteps and enter the transportation industry after getting his CDL at the Tennessee Truck Driving School. Please join us in congratulating our May Dedicated Driver of the Month and our outstanding Runner-Up!

🥇 David Phan made a major career change in August 2019, trading construction for the open road, and he has never looked back. Originally from North Carolina, he earned his CDL from Tennessee Truck Driving School in Knoxville and credits Stevens with giving him an opportunity others weren't willing to give.

David says his success comes from the support of his family and his commitment to doing his best every single day. His favorite part of the job is trying local restaurants in new states, with North Carolina still ranking near the top of his list. Looking back, he calls his time with the company ""unforgettable,"" and he's grateful for everyone he's met along the way.

🥈 Jose Ortiz is a distinguished Million Mile Haul of Famer who earned his CDL from Metropolitan Trucking in Florida before joining Stevens in July 2008. This May, he logged an impressive 13,130 miles and now sits just 80,000 miles from becoming a Two Million Mile Haul of Famer.

Not long after joining Stevens, Jose transitioned into the Independent Contractor Division, drawn to the freedom of running his own business. With more than 1.9 million miles behind him, he counts driving past the Hoover Dam and taking in Niagara Falls among his most unforgettable moments on the road. When he's not driving, he cherishes time with his family.

Congratulations, David and Jose! 👏🚛

Behind every smooth drive on the road is someone who cares deeply. For 20 years, that someone has been Allie Gilbert. ❤️

Starting as a high school intern, Allie didn't just build a career at Stevens Transport, she built a family. Ask any driver who’s had the privilege of working with her, and they’ll tell you: Allie goes above and beyond for her people. Solving complex logistics like a "game of Tetris" isn't just a job to her; It's how she ensures her drivers are safe, supported, and heard every single day.

From earning Employee of the Year to seamlessly connecting every department in the company, Allie pours her whole heart into this team. And off the clock, that same passion goes right into supporting her son on the sidelines and serving her community.

Allie, thank you for 20 years of genuine care, tireless dedication, and steady support. We are so grateful for you! 🚛

Please join us in congratulating our April New Driver of the Month and our outstanding Runner-Up!

🥇 Richard Benson (New Driver of the Month): Richard joined Stevens Transport in January 2026 after hearing about our training program and attending Diesel Driving Academy back home in Arkansas. Since hitting the road, he's made it a mission to try a steakhouse in every state he visits, all while soaking up as much of the country as he can. For Richard, trucking isn't just a job, it's a lifestyle, one he embraces with every mile.

🥈 Brittni Foltmann (Runner-Up): Brittni joined Stevens in December 2025, earning her CDL from Tampa Truck Driving School after growing up in Florida. Her advice for anyone considering trucking is simple: "Just go for it." One of her favorite memories is graduating from orientation alongside the friends she made in her class. She loves the independence the job provides and appreciates the dispatch team that has her back every step of the way.
