Fava Trucking has two trailers and can do drop and hook to utilize both trailers. We will be running local loads only this week to stay in place and help our local community and DFW surrounding area restock the shelves. Babies need formula, diapers, and wipes. We all need food, and household items. I am asking all my trucking family to stay in place and try and help your local communities. Let's pull together and help each other out.

I am part of a group called Black Smoke Matters. We are shutting down on April 12th and would like your support. Government over reach in this industry is unbearable and lobbyists, legislators, and the FMCSA is power hungry and out of control. I am asking all my fellow Trucking family to join in and shut down on the 12th. It's not just a one day shut down contrary to what most people are thinking. We have representation and will be monitoring the Black Smoke Matters page to keep up with the shut down. A lot of drivers are saying they can't afford to shut down, but if we don't make a stand, government over reach will only get worse. Please join me in the shutting down on the 12th. and for however many days it takes to get a resolution.

Fuel prices have risen to the point that we will have to raise our price per mile, this in turn is going to make the cost of goods being delivered to our stores go up. I am encouraging brokers to bid freight movement according to the rise in fuel prices. Under bidding a job is pointless if no one takes the load. Fuel prices are roughly between 3.00 and 3.39 per gallon at the pumps and freight loads are still paying the same rate as they were a year ago when we could purchase fuel for about 2.29 per gallon. I refuse to haul freight for free. I am also encouraging anyone reading this to contact our President and let him know the situation. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
