DART Announces Labor Day Service Schedule

DALLAS – August 28, 2026 – Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will operate on a weekend schedule in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 7, 2026.

DART bus, light rail, Silver Line, and GoLink services will operate on their regular weekend schedules. Riders are encouraged to check schedules in advance using the GoPass® app or by visiting DART.org to help plan their trips.

The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) will not operate on Labor Day. Regular TRE service will resume Tuesday, September 8.

Paratransit services will operate on their normal schedules to support customers who rely on these essential transportation services. Customers should book and confirm their trips in advance by calling 214-515-7272, online at www.DART.org/ridepara, or through the DART Paratransit mobile application.

DART Administrative Offices, DARTmart, and the Customer Support Center will be closed on Labor Day. The Customer Relations department will remain available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 214-979-1111 to assist customers with trip planning and questions.

DART RECEIVES NATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR AWARD-WINNING GOPASS® MOBILITY PLATFORM

METRO Magazine recognizes DART for developing innovative technology that enhances the rider experience and supports transit agencies nationwide.

DALLAS, August 24, 2026 - DART has been awarded the 2026 Innovative Solutions Award by METRO Magazine, and the prize recognizes the GoPass® mobility platform for improving the rider experience and enabling transit agencies to provide more connected mobility solutions.

GoPass was first developed by DART and has since been continuously improved in cooperation with Kuba; it has now become a full-scale Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform that enables users to plan trips, buy tickets, get up-to-date service information, and access a variety of transport options, all via one app.

"This recognition reflects DART's long-standing commitment to innovation and to supplying technology that makes public transportation easier, more connected, and more convenient for riders," said Jeamy Molina, EVP & Chief Communications Officer. "Originally developed to serve our customers in North Texas, GoPass is now helping transit agencies across the country provide a seamless travel experience. We're honored to receive this national recognition and continue to deliver cutting-edge solutions that benefit riders and the transit industry."

GoPass combines trip planning, fare payment, up-to-date service information, rider notifications, fare capping, and access to a range of other services such as microtransit, paratransit, bike sharing, and scooters within a single app. It is currently used by 14 transit agencies in the United States and offers a scalable platform, along with strong reporting tools, continuous improvements, and flexible branding options. The platform has received over three million downloads, holds a 4.8-star rating on the App Store, and supports more than 8 million active users each year.

The Innovative Solutions Awards, which are held every year by METRO Magazine, honor transit agencies, technology providers, and industry partners whose technologies and initiatives advance public transportation through innovation, operational excellence, and an improved customer experience.

Buckner Station is getting a new neighbor. 🚆🏗️
DART is excited to welcome a new transit-oriented development coming to Dallas’ Pleasant Grove area in partnership with Palladium USA and the City of Dallas.

The project will transform an underutilized parking lot into an apartment complex, a community space, a conference and business center, all with a public promenade that will lead pedestrians directly to public transit, with easy access to DART’s Green Line and bus transfers.
