State Fair: Additional DART service is now available!

Heading to the State Fair or Red River Rivalry? DART has added service and special shuttles to make getting to Fair Park easier.

DART Rail
DART Rail lines will operate every 20 minutes throughout game day, with additional trains added as needed to meet customer demand.

Red and Blue Lines:
Will be operating under normal operations. To get to the State Fair, transfer to a Green or Orange Line with “BUCKNER” on the destination sign, and ride that to Fair Park or MLK Station.

Green Line:
Take the Green Line directly to Fair Park Station, located on Parry Avenue at the fairgrounds entrance, or continue to MLK Station for access to Gate 6 and the Cotton Bowl Stadium.

Orange Line:
Orange Line trains will operate between DFW Airport and Buckner Station on game day. Customers can ride to Fair Park Station for direct access to the fairgrounds by boarding an Orange Line with “BUCKNER” in the destination sign.

State Fair Flyer Shuttles
The State Fair Flyer provides direct service to Fair Park, helping customers avoid traffic and parking.

Special State Fair Flyer buses will operate directly to Lot 8 inside Fair Park from:
- Addison Transit Center
- Glenn Heights Transit Center
- Downtown Rowlett Station
- Lake Ray Hubbard Transit Center
- CityLine/Bush Station
- SMU/Mockingbird Station

TRE:
At Victory Station, TRE passengers can transfer to a Green or Orange Line with “BUCKNER” in the destination sign, and ride that to Fair Park or MLK Station.

Be sure to have your pass available for inspection or have your GoPass ticket activated and ready to display before boarding.

DART Makes Game Day Travel Easy with Direct Service to the Red River Rivalry

DALLAS ,TX, October 5, 2026 — Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is boosting service for the Texas vs. Oklahoma football game at the Cotton Bowl on Saturday, October 10, helping fans bypass the traffic gridlock and drive straight into the game-day action.

“The Texas vs. Oklahoma matchup is a cornerstone of North Texas culture, and DART is excited to get fans there,” said Trenise Winters, Chief Operations Officer. “We are dedicated to giving fans a seamless, worry-free ride, letting them focus entirely on the game.”

Starting at 8 a.m. on game day, DART will operate special "State Fair Flyer" bus shuttles on game day. Before the game starts, shuttles will take fans directly to Lot 8 inside Fair Park, providing easy access through the Midway Gate. Riders will receive color-coded wristbands and see large flags marking shuttle zones for a smooth experience. "State Fair Flyer" shuttles will be provided from six transit centers to transport passengers directly to Lot 8 at Fair Park.

- City Line/Bush Station

- SMU/ Mockingbird Station

- Addison Transit Center

- Downtown Rowlett Station/ Lake Ray Hubbard Transit Center

Extra DART staff will be at each of these transit centers to assist riders with connections.

When the final whistle blows, shuttles will be ready at Lot 8 to take fans back to their original transit center/station. The last buses will depart two hours after the game ends, giving riders plenty of time to enjoy postgame celebrations without worrying about parking or traffic congestion. Remember that flags will be posted by the "State Fair Flyer" bus shuttles that match the wristband colors, helping riders easily locate the correct bus for their return trip.

All DART rail lines will run every 20 minutes throughout game day, with additional trains added to meet demand. Depending on crowd levels, some riders may be directed to shuttles for faster access into and out of Fair Park.

To reach the fairgrounds, take the DART Green or Orange Line to Fair Park Station on Parry Avenue, which is at the main entrance to the State Fair. Alternatively, ride to MLK, Jr. Station, situated south of R.B. Cullum Boulevard, which provides direct access to Gate 6 and the Cotton Bowl Stadium.

Additionally, passengers can expect:

Trains to Fair Park will have increased capacity with more rail cars

Increased service frequency, with all train lines running every 20 minutes

Fans are encouraged to purchase or activate their passes ahead of time using the GoPass app. Arriving early is recommended to beat the crowds. Riders should also keep their wristbands visible for quick transfers and follow staff directions for the most efficient experience.

DART Announces Expanded GoLink Service in Plano to Provide Riders with Greater Access and Connectivity

DART will implement service changes for Plano GoLink Zones.

DALLAS TX, October 1, 2026 – Beginning October 5th, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will implement service changes to Plano's GoLink zones which are designed to enhance mobility options and improve connections across the northern service area.

As part of DART’s commitment to providing broader access to on-demand transit in Plano, the upcoming changes will expand GoLink coverage with the addition of a new Southwest Plano zone and extended service in several existing zones. These enhancements will make it easier for riders to connect to jobs, schools, shopping, and key destinations while offering more flexible travel options.

Several GoLink zones in Plano will be expanded to improve access to key destinations, including Parker Road Station, Downtown Plano Station, 12th Street Station, the Silver Line, Collin College Plano Campus, and the Jack Hatchell Transit Center. In addition, DART will expand its Plano Zone-to-Zone Pilot, allowing more seamless travel between Plano GoLink service areas and removing the existing quarter-mile buffer restrictions to provide greater flexibility for riders.
