We're still in yellowtail mode and trying our best to keep fish in our counts every day!

Fishing the best live bait possible has been a very important part of the process.

Live sardines have been and will continue to the bait of choice. However we've also caught fish on surface lures like hard jerk baits and surface iron.

The birds on the surface have been a bit of a nuisance so sliding sinkers up to 1oz have been found to be helpful too.

Clemente deckhand Josh is holding two of the best tasting and most underrated sport fish on the coast. These big bonito pull drag, peel line and will eat just about any jig or bait you put in the water.

When these fish are bled and iced their meat is mild, tender and WHITE when cooked. It is amazing on the table.

Whether you prepare it seared, sashimi style, chunked for poke or baked , this fish deserves a chance if you've never taken it home to enjoy.

Bring a few 60-80g sniper jigs on a good 20lb bait or spinning set up and catch a few to take home and enjoy!
