The landscape of Peru is varied, and mesmerizing! One of the most enigmatic places we have explored during this Small Group journey is Paracas National Preserve. ✨ Standing upon the desert plateau above Playa Rojo, I couldn’t help feeling like I had been transported to another planet! ✨ Natural Beauty exists beyond the Eye of the Beholder, and this place, my friends is exactly that! Enjoy!! —💖🌎

When I saw this display a few days ago, I couldn’t help wondering: ✨ Do s ever get cervicogenic headaches, or back pain? ✨ Do they have a or who travels with them in their pod?

Featured in this photo are whale vertebrae found ashore at the Paracas National Reserve + my left index finger to demonstrate the grand scale of the structure of a whale’s spine, and I’ll go out on a limb here to speculate that this was one of the smaller whales out there in the big blue yonder

Days of Yore: Walk the Camino Santiago Highlights ✨

En el Camino Francés, Alexis BEIJO. Group de Estados Unidos, que ha salido el día 10 junio de 2026 de Sarria, Spain en peregrinación a Santiago de Compostela:
[ x ] pie [ ] bicicleta [ ] caballo [ ] Silla ruedas

On June 10, we departed from Sarria and began our pilgrimage on the Camino Francés on foot.

"How did you arrive to Santiago?
[ ] by foot [ ] by bike [ ] by horse [ ] by wheelchair," is the question we become familiar with as we contemplate the Camino prior to embarking, as well as the question that must be completed on the Pilgrims’ Passport as a step to earning the Compostela.

We come for many reasons, we come from many places, and there are many, many ways to do the Camino. "Why Camino?" is a question I always ask my guests who are considering a Camino experience, or accompanying me on a small group journey.
Whether by foot or otherwise, the most cherished achievement of completing the Camino, is not the Compostela, but in fact, discovering the inner alignment that was seeking to surface, and be integrated into the whole self. The Compostela is an added bonus!

Pilgrims naturally form a sense of community upon the Way, and during our most recent Camino, this was the case, with a special surprise for those of us who had already trekked over 20 miles on foot. Suddenly, we heard a music-like cadence and our senses told us to step to the side as we welcomed the arrival of these pilgrims whom we found somewhat enchanting. Accompanied in their real-time momentum, was a regal celebration and sense of yester-year troubadours, that reminded us of all things Canterbury Tales, and the nostalgia of pilgrimages past. Enjoy this moment of our first encounter with them!
