Captains should never stop learning and training! Over the previous few weeks I’ve been working aboard Sultana in preparation for becoming her official back-up Captain starting later this Summer and then signed on to Arabella effectively as Chief Mate for a Bermuda-New York Passage (where I hope to also be on her relief list).

And so the 2026 season brings with delivering the Schooner Dauntless (formerly Javalina Queen) to Georgetown, MD. A vessel that is more sculpture than “boat”, she is always a fun one to move.
