Remembering those who did not come home, are still missing, or are one of the 22/day who are no longer with us. Yesterday was not the fourth, there is a day for that type of celebration. Yesterday we remembered and honored those who gave everything and remembered their families and friends who sacrificed along the way. Thank you Bethlehem Police Department for keeping the parade route clear and safe.

Hidden Hunger exists in the Town of Bethlehem. Sometimes food insecurity is confused with the poverty level. Food security is closely linked with variables like poverty, unemployment, homeownership, disability prevalence, food budget shortfall, cost of food index, and the national average meal cost. Working families use our pantry. The Bethlehem Food Pantry helps reduce food insecurities for residents.
We are grateful for the support from Bethlehem Senior Projects, Inc. that helps fund the pantry. Additionally, we are appreciative for the support of local neighbors helping neighbors, the The Food Pantries for the Capital District, The Regional Food Bank, Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, local businesses and houses of worship, Delmar Progress Club, and local food drives. It truly does take a village!

Thank you to the Delmar Progress Club for helping out with our annual USPS food drive!

DPC volunteers gathered this morning at Town Hall to sort food items donated by our community on Saturday through the U.S. Postal Service Food drive for the Bethlehem Food Pantry.

05/15/2026

Last weekend’s food drive delivered 5,000 pounds of donations to the Town Hall Food Pantry!
Thank you to everyone who donated, the US Postal Service for organizing the annual drive, the Delmar Fire Department for transporting all the donations to Town Hall, and the Town Senior Services Dept, Bethlehem Senior Projects, and Delmar Progress Club for unpacking and sorting everything.
The Town Hall Food Pantry is once again full, and extra food has been passed on to Patty’s Place in South Bethlehem and the Saugerties Food Pantry.
