Big change coming to Palo on Disney Cruise Line. The prix fixe dinner is going away, dinner moves to à la carte, and the Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club credit is now $55 for dinner only. No brunch. Holland America Line is bringing out the turkey, gingerbread villages and festive cocktails for its 2026 holiday cruises, and I’ll be onboard to check it all out starting November 8th straight thru till January 5th.

I’m spending Thanksgiving on Nieuw Amsterdam and Christmas and New Year’s on Volendam, so expect plenty of food photos and reports along the way. Here’s a preview of what’s planned, including a new gingerbread cake that I’ll clearly need to investigate.

Carnival just launched FunPacks, bundles of drinks, Wi-Fi, dining, excursions and spa savings you buy before you sail. The catch is they’re only on sale through October 30th.
