What an honor!

Over the weekend at ASTA's Annual Conference, Shenika Baisley-Woodley was named the 2026 ASTA Travel Advisor of the Year.

This prestigious recognition celebrates advisors who exemplify professionalism, leadership, client service, and dedication to the travel industry.

And there is no one more deserving than Dr. Shenika.

For more than 25 years, she has served our country in the United States Army, currently holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and serving as a Deputy Commander.

If that wasn't enough, seven years ago, Dr. Shenika invested in herself and turned her love of travel into a thriving business.

She carried that same commitment to service into her travel business, creating unforgettable experiences for clients while mentoring and inspiring fellow advisors.

"This award may have my name on it, but it represents so many people who have been a part of this journey. This moment is bigger than me."

That is who Dr. Shenika is.

She leads with heart, integrity, and purpose.

For over 25 years, Dr. Shenika Baisley-Woodley has served in the United States Army with leadership, dedication and heart.

But seven years ago, she discovered another way to serve people.

“I was already the person everyone called to plan the vacations, girls' trips, cruises, birthdays, and family reunions… so one day I finally said, ‘Wait a minute…I should probably be getting paid for this!’ 😂”

Between deployments, military obligations, motherhood, and life, travel became a creative outlet and eventually a platform to help others celebrate milestones, reconnect with loved ones, and experience the world in meaningful ways.

“One thing I love most is that this business allowed me to serve people in a completely different way.”

In the military, service means leadership, sacrifice, and commitment.

In travel, service means creating unforgettable experiences, helping families make memories, and showing people that the world is truly within reach.

Today, Dr. Shenika Baisley-Woodley continues to lead in both military service and business as a mentor, entrepreneur, wife, mother, and advocate for others.

This Military Appreciation Month, we’re proud to recognize her story, her impact, and her continued commitment to serving others both in and out of uniform.
