My great-grandfather was a gunner on the A-26 Invader and B-26 Marauder, and he was shot down over Germany in 1945 after taking down five Me-109s.”

That story helped inspire Dallas Davis to become a pilot and follow in his great-grandfather’s footsteps.

Dallas has served in the Air National Guard for the last seven years, and his goal is to finish his commercial, commission, and work toward flying for the military.

Today he took another big step toward that goal by passing his Instrument checkride.

Congratulations to Kyla on passing her CFI checkride today and officially joining us as one of our newest flight instructors!!!

We asked Kyla to tell us a little about what brought her to aviation and what she wants to bring to her students, and we think she said it best:

“I started out by getting my bachelors of science, and realizing that it wasn’t something that I love to do, and through many family friends pushing me in the right direction, I started flying and found my passion.

I love encouraging others to become 1% better daily and find confidence within themselves. Just like so many instructors have done for me!”
