Happy summer break to all!

Yesterday I got to attend my sweet little niece’s kindergarten graduation and tomorrow my little nephew finishes pre-k.

So thankful to be able to be there and just as excited for all your kiddo’s milestones too!

Today is international nanny training day (INNTD.) Heading to a training in downtwon Denver and so hopeful* I can learn to be a nanny 😆.

Really I’m excited to meet other nannies, connect with agency reps and owners and fill my brain up with as much industry knowledge as possible.

I’m a forever student and I love these types of events. Plus last year I won a gnome waffle maker so how can I go wrong with that sort of luck 🍀 on my side?!

Today I did a 6:18am live demo on how the earth orbits the sun and rotates by being earth and orbiting a kitchen island.

In proper kid fashion the response I received after a lot of other questions and answers was.. “so are you saying alive aliens live on Mars?”

In case any of your kids have shared that I taught them something that sounds a bit off.. this might be why. 🤷‍♀️

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, I’m grateful for and impressed by every single one of you. Including solo moms, moms who have miracle babies and rainbow babies, who have lots of kiddos or just one, older mamas and younger mamas, adoptive moms and foster moms, moms expecting, empty-nester moms, travel moms and stay at home moms. And all the other mom types too!

You’re all amazing, and you’re doing the greatest most important job there is. You definitely aren’t paid enough or thanked enough either.

I hope today is filled with love and relaxation and not a single child demands a snack from you 😉.

This is why I remind kids it’s okay to be frustrated, mad, sad, confused, unsure, nervous or any of the emotions we usually mark as ‘bad.’

I have been in many of those conversations where I wanted to swoop in and fix things and therefore avoid the bad feeling too. I mean kids at recess say some unhinged things, amiright?

We all have this instinct of wanting to help and solve. I’d argue the most helpful thing to do is just be there to listen 💖
