No Barriers USA Signature Annual Event is September 12, and we'd love to see you there!

This year will be a particularly momentous celebration: It was 25 years ago that No Barriers cofounder Erik Weihenmayer became the first blind person in history to summit Mount Everest. He didn’t do it alone, though. He relied on his rope team, with each person trusting the next, all refusing to let a barrier be the end of the story.

That’s why What’s Your Everest is an inclusive, all-abilities team effort covering over 3.9 miles and 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

This impactful experience is a community hike unlike anything else!

You can come solo and join a group, or you can bring your own rope team. Either way, you’ll make new friends, help support our mission to spread the No Barriers mindset, and enjoy outstanding views and beautiful surroundings along the way.

Breakfast and lunch are included on this day of hiking up Winter Park Mountain with like-minded folks in Winter Park, CO, where your registration fee raises money to help those affected by disability.
Hiking alongside you will be No Barriers founder Erik Weihenmayer
and former Ms. Wheelchair Colorado Chris Layne.

Live in a rural area? We have travel scholarships available!
More info (including the scholarship form) to sign up before Sept. 2 use the link below.

We hope to see you there!

Today, we pause to honor those whose sacrifice made our freedoms possible.

In that spirit, we’re proud to recognize D-Day Leadership Academy, an organization that brings young individuals to Normandy to experience the history of D-Day firsthand while developing leadership, discipline, and a deep respect for those who served.

Through this immersive approach, they instill character, accountability, and purpose in the next generation.
