Liberty Rides provides wheelchair transport services to skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, rehab centers, family events, ect. Each day is different, and you will meet some amazing people! We are a very competitive business and are looking for serious applicants!
Job Description:
We have immediate openings for outstanding mobile medical specialists to provide courteous, helpful and professional transportation to patients transferring from critical care to rehab care, from care facilities to appointments, or from home to appointments or events.
Drivers will be provided with PPE & expected to adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
PPE provided and all patients will be required to be wearing PPE prior to pick up.
Rate of pay depending on experience.
Properly restraining patients will require driver to be closer than 6 feet from the patient.
Training period will require driver to be closer than 6 feet away from the trainer.
Driver will obtain and transfer medical records with each patient while following strict confidentiality guidelines.
Trip reports will be accurately completed by driver after each transport.
Flexible availability required due to the day to day nature of appointments and daily hospital discharges.
Familiarity with basic medical terminology preferred.
Passenger restraint may require the ability to stoop, bend, kneel or twist.
Preferred:
Our ideal candidate would have a background as a CNA, EMT, Medical Assistant, trained caregiver, family caregiver, nursing student or other relevant experience. Current certification in these fields is NOT required. Willing to train the right dedicated candidate!
Requirements:
Must be at least 23 years of age
Must be able to pass a drug test
Must be able to pass a state and federal background check
Clean driving record and have a valid CO driver's license
CPR/First Aid Certification ** we can help you obtain **
Must be dependable and responsible
Must be able to navigate with a GPS
Must have a smartphone for navigation and obtaining schedule. (Data allowance is provided)
Must be able to push up to 250lbs in a wheelchair up a 25% incline ramp.
Must be able to work independently.
Responsibilities also include vehicle upkeep, equipment cleanliness, and completing daily paperwork

COVID-19 considerations:
To keep our drivers safe, we provide masks, gloves and require patients to wear PPE. We provide supplies to sanitize equipment after each patient. We have adjusted our procedures to minimize driver exposure to the interiors of medical facilities.
