We have been constructing and operating a 20’ x 100’ fixed layout model railroad system in 1:160 (N Scale) which models the former Denver and Rio Grande Western, now Union Pacific railroad line between Downtown Denver and the Moffat Tunnel, aptly named the Moffat Route.

Big News!!!
ScaleTrains will be visitng in less than week and we'd love to see you! Monday July 17th ScaleTrains will be visitng to highlight their equipment, history and future plans as well as showcasing some of their great models on our layout. We will be open and hosting those interested, however the museum will be closed so follow signage to direct you to the side entrance, a door marked with the UP Shield logo.
We are excited and honored to be a stop on the ScaleTrains summer road trip!

***BIG NEWS ALERT***
Starting this Saturday, June 4th, the MMRG layout will be open to the public during regular museum hours. This Saturday will be a run day with trains running up and down the hill along with switching ops. When not being run, the layout will be open for viewing and have some coin operated setups as well. Come check us out this weekend and many thanks to all the volunteers who have helped get us this far!

*UPDATE- Full public opening has been delayed a weekend so we can get some signs up, so June 11th is the first date!!
