September changes the schedule for just about everyone. Parents are balancing work and school activities. College students have classes and jobs. Appointments, errands and practices still need to happen somewhere in between.

Reliable transportation gives people more control over how they manage it all. We are here to help residents get where they need to be, maintain their routines and stay independent, even when the calendar starts filling up fast.

Mark your calendars for a day of prairie adventure!

Autumn on the Prairie returns to Nachusa Grasslands on September 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This family-friendly Fall Festival is packed with opportunities to experience one of our region's most beautiful natural landscapes.

Take a "Look for Bison" tour, join a guided hike, meet live raptors, explore nature exhibits, and enjoy local food and music. There's something for every age to enjoy.

We hope you'll get out and enjoy everything this special day has to offer!

Have you explored one of our area's historic treasures?

The Albany Indian Mounds State Historic Site offers scenic trails, prairie views, and a glimpse into the Hopewell culture from over 2,000 years ago. Reagan Mass-Transit District offers travel to and from the site, take a day trip with us!

Walk, bike the Great River Recreation Trail, or enjoy wildlife like deer and eagles while connecting with nature and local history.
