🚛 FMCSA Temporarily Pauses USDOT Number Deactivations

FMCSA has temporarily paused USDOT Number deactivations for carriers who missed their biennial update during the transition to the new MOTUS registration system.

The temporary relief applies to registrants whose biennial update was due June 1, 2026 or later.

Important: this does not remove the biennial update requirement. Carriers are still responsible for keeping their registration information current and should complete required updates when possible.

For trucking companies, an active USDOT Number is critical to staying compliant and keeping trucks on the road. Keep an eye on upcoming FMCSA guidance as the MOTUS transition continues.

The week started in Alachua, FL, moved up to Elloree, SC, then turned west for El Paso, TX. From there, the truck worked its way back to Manchester, TN.

By Sunday morning, the numbers were in:

$12,430 gross | 4,695 miles | $2.65 RPM

And Manchester wasn’t the finish line - the truck was already ready for the next load.

Not all heroes wear capes. Some drive trucks. 🚛

A truck driver in Illinois is being praised after stepping in to stop a slow-moving vehicle traveling the wrong way.

Instead of just watching it happen, the trucker stopped his rig, got out, caught up with the vehicle, and helped bring it to a stop before things could get much worse.

The driver left before anyone got his name — and now people are trying to find the mystery trucker who stepped up when it mattered.
