April 6, 2025 Amtrak 691 with GP-38 740 on the lead. The train originated at Exeter this day due to major tie replacement work by CSX to the south with bustitution from Boston.

CSX is about to embark on a major tie replacement project beginning April 1. They will be bringing track crews in from other parts of their system to expedite the work to the greatest extent possible. Please be aware that train schedules will be changing to accommodate the work and bussing around work segments will be routine. Not all stations will always be served, so please check www.amtrak.com or www.amtrakdowneaster.com for the most current information. One significant change will be to trains 682/692, as they will be running 40 minutes earlier than they currently do.
