✨💯❗ THE Divine Reality: Bismillah Ar Rahmaan Ar Raheem ~ Jum'uah Mubarakah dear Muslims at home and throughout the world: "We are building our Life hereafter, now ~ emphasis on: Responsibility, Accountability and Productivity! We KNOW Allah, subhana wa ta'Ala!
Why "Knowing" (Ma'rifah) is Higher and More Significant than mere "belief"!
1. It Unlocks the State of Excellence (Ihsan)
Believing tells you what the rules are; knowing tells you Who the Lawgiver is. The Prophet Muhammad defined Ihsan (spiritual excellence) as: "To worship Allah as if you see Him; and if you cannot see Him, know that He sees you." You cannot reach this state by just believing in an abstract concept. It requires Ma'rifah—a vivid, constant awareness of Allah's presence, majesty, and closeness.
2. It Transforms Worship from a Ritual to a Relationship
When a person merely believes, acts of worship like prayer (Salah) or fasting can easily degrade into repetitive, empty physical motions. But when you know Allah through His Names and Attributes—such as Al-Wadud (The Loving), Al-Ghafur (The All-Forgiving), and Al-Khabir (The All-Aware)—worship becomes an intimate conversation. Standing in prayer becomes a sanctuary rather than a chore.
3. It Completely Alters Your Response to Life's Trials
This directly ties back to the concept of Qadar (Divine Decree).
• A person who only believes might accept a tragedy mechanically but still feel deep resentment or despair.
• A person who knows Allah understands that the One who decreed the hardship is also Al-Hakim (The Perfectly Wise) and Al-Latif (The Most Subtle and Kind). They know that Allah never decrees anything for a believer except that there is hidden good in it, bringing true peace of mind (Tuman'ninah).
4. True Love (Mahabbah) Only Follows Knowledge
In human relationships, you cannot genuinely love someone you do not know. The same applies to the Creator. Islamic scholars note that it is impossible to love Allah intensely until you know His beauty, perfection, and endless mercy. When Ma'rifah fills the heart, obeying Allah's commands is no longer viewed as a restriction on personal freedom, but as a joyful expression of love and gratitude.
✨💯❗How One Transitions from Believing to Knowing
Islamic tradition outlines clear pathways to bridge this gap:
• Contemplating His Names: Moving beyond memorizing the 99 Names of Allah to actively observing how those Names manifest in your daily life.
• Deep Reflection (Tadabbur): Looking at the "Miracles in the Making" of the universe and the human body to see the "handwriting" of the Creator everywhere.
• Consistent Private Remembrance (Dhikr): Cultivating quiet, intentional moments of remembrance that purify the heart, allowing it to perceive spiritual realities more clearly.
✨ 💯 The Miracle of Fitrah (The Innate Nature)
The miracle of making the human species isn't just physical; it is psychological and spiritual. Every human is born with Fitrah—an innate, built-in predisposition to recognize truth, seek purpose, and believe in a higher power.
Islam teaches that humanity was pre-programmed with a moral compass. Before we were even sent to Earth, all human souls were gathered and asked: “Am I not your Lord?” and everyone responded, “Yes, we testify.” (Quran 7:172). Therefore, searching for meaning is a biological and spiritual necessity hardwired into human DNA.
✨💯 The Human Being Is The Honored Species (Tashreef)
Unlike other creations that operate strictly on instinct (like animals) or absolute obedience (like angels), the human species was engineered with genuine free will and a superior intellect.
Allah notes this special status in the Quran:
“And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on land and sea and provided for them of the good things and preferred them over much of what We have created, with [definite] preference.” (Quran 17:70)
✨💯❗THE CHOICE - Surah 109 Al Kafirun (The Disbelievers) - "Oh you who are the rejectors of Faith; I do not worship what you worship, nor do you worship what I worship; And I will not worship what you want me to worship; And I do not want to worship what you worship; so you go your way; and I will go my way."
