Having flown once or twice this summer, we’d recommend each of these and add: get your vaccinations and boosters well in advance of travel! Link in comment

If you're in Tucson, don't miss this wonderful (and free!) event tomorrow, Thursday.
Author Mele Martinez will be in conversation with Andrés Cano to celebrate the release of her new hybrid memoir, The Molino, at the Historic Pima County Courthouse downtown.
I'm especially excited because Mele will be leading our Food Writing in Mexico City workshop in Summer 2027 for Wandering Writers Workshops!
Hope to see some of you there!

You're invited to an evening of literacy & culture featuring local author Melani Martinez and her book, The Molino: A Memoir.

Applications are now open for Writing the Wild: Sedona! 🌵✍️

Join Wandering Writers Workshops March 22–26, 2027, for five immersive days of writing and discovery in Sedona’s red-rock landscape.

Led by award-winning writer and educator Eric Aldrich this small-cohort workshop combines serious craft instruction with field observation, guided writing, and individual feedback. Place is part of the curriculum: what you notice outdoors becomes material to explore on the page.

Beginners are welcome, and writers of every experience level will be challenged to go deeper. Bring your curiosity and a willingness to engage seriously with the work.

Early bird tuition: $2,195 until Jan. 1; then $2,395.
A $500 nonrefundable deposit reserves your seat upon acceptance.

Optional accommodations may be available through our partner hotel or at workshop headquarters. Lodging and transportation are separate from tuition.

Applications are not competitive: we're seeking cohort fit since we’re capped at 10 participants.

Application link is in the first comment!

Writing stories in Granada, Spain last week was magical.

We spent 5 days writing in Granada, and I swear, my full journal still smells like jasmine.
