According to recent airfare data, we’re heading into one of the better booking windows of the year, with some of the best opportunities for lower fares expected August 28 through September 10.

Historically, airfare tends to drop as the busy summer travel season winds down, with domestic fares declining around 12% and international fares around 17% from August into early September.

So, if you’ve been thinking about a trip, this may be a great time to start looking!
