Truck Driver duties and responsibilities
T/L No touch freight
No Hazmat
Ensures that goods arrive safely and on schedule
Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers
Obeying and following applicable traffic laws
Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
Truck Driver skills and qualifications
Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Trained in safe driving best practices
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including rest requirements, maximum miles driven, etc.
Able to pass the required 2-year physical exam
Strong communication skills with dispatch and brokers
Safety minded. Must adhere to HOS regulations. Proper equipment inspection
